Grab a flexible measuring tape.
Stand straight but relaxed — no sucking in or puffing out. - Measure your bust.
- Wear your usual bra.
- Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your bust, keeping it horizontal and snug but not tight.
- Measure your waist.
- Find your natural waist — the narrowest part, usually two fingers below where your rib cage ends.
- Keep the tape horizontal and comfortably firm.
- Measure your hips.
- Stand with feet together.
- Measure around the widest point of your hips and bottom.
- This spot can vary depending on your body shape.
- Compare your measurements to 'Staff & Friends Measurements and Sizes'
- If your measurements are similar to one or two of these this is often the best guide.
- Compare your measurements to our size chart.
- Allow for fit flexibility.
- Always refer to the Fit Notes in the specific product description
- Styles with stretch or a relaxed fit allow an extra 3–5 cm of ease.

This jumpsuit brings a whole new level of happiness and style to one of my most favourite designs from FMO. Expect buckets of compliments to match! It could not be more comfortable and versatile - the fit is just right and the fabric is the perfect weight. I absolutely love it and I think it looks great on every size and shape. I sized down to an 8 (I find FMO sizes generous). Honestly what could be better than a velvet jumpsuit??!!

Ive never had an outfit that has received so many random compliments. Ive had people stopping me in markets, in the middle of road, and at events to tell me how fantastic this jumpsuit looks. One woman described it as “effortless chic, without the pretence”. This is totally worth it!!! Get it in your wardrobe ;)
Jumpsuit is super comfy and true to size. Colour is great and design makes it easy to get on and off. Perfect leg length to be to ankle for shorties.

I’ve got a few FMO jumpsuits in size 8 (I’m a 10 in most other brands) and they are my favourite thing for absolutely any occasion. The 8 was too large in the velvet jumpsuit so I bought a 6 and it still feels a bit frumpy and loose - sad because it’s the most amazing jumpsuit yet, a 1970’s disco dream! Waist 71cm, bust and hip 90cm.
I love this so much I also bought a denim one. The sizing is quite different between the velvet (roomy) and the denim (truer to size - I went up a size for comfort in the crotch length), but the customer service to sort it out was fantastic.
This fits me beautifully, it is comfortable and works really well in cold weather with a long sleeve underneath. I love that the waist is nicely cinched in to give you shape without impacting comfort or style. So glad I bought this jumpsuit!

This jumpsuit is AMAZE. The colour is true petrol - stunning, alluring, smart enough for my government job, but fun. I'm 50 years old, so my body feels unfamiliar to me but as a size 12/14 (ok, more of a 14) the sizing is perfect at a 12. I'm a true pear shape with a new bit of tummy and this makes me feel supported. Unlike other jumpsuits, this is super easy to get on and really, fits like a spacious glove. The fabric is divine - a sumptuous sensory feast. There's a lot to love about this staple piece.
I am a jumpsuit addict, but this one is on another level! I'm a huge fan of the Freestyler Jumpsuits and have a few of them but this velvet is just so luscious! The fabric is excellent quality with great structure and the colour is magnificent! Every day is a good day for velvet and this beauty takes it to the next level.
I love this jumpsuit so much! Here's why:
- the freestyler cut is such a winner, because it looks elevated but is so comfy.
- the velvet fabric is a high quality cotton that is warm, has a good amount of stretch and honestly feels very luxurious.
- the colour is THE BEST! I think even better than in the pics.
Overall, this is absolute perfection rolled into a jumpsuit. I have the freestyler jumpsuit in cord and denim, and they all fit slightly differently (as it says on the website), but somehow they all fit well. It's like magic!
I like how FMO use the styles and fabrics we all love and make variations of it down the track. So if you're after some ideas, I think this jumpsuit would be great in black or emerald green velvet. I'd also love to see the petrol velvet fabric in a dress (below the knee please).
