I first met Sarah almost 15 years ago when I turned up to her very first painting class at Sarah Mac's Art School. From that first session it was clear she was something special - not only a brilliant artist but an inspiring, highly skilled teacher and frankly just an all-round excellent super-fun human.
With State Theatre Company South Australia’s upcoming production of ART kicking off tomorrow, we called on four of our favourite South Australian Frockers - Sarah McDonald, Denise Hojdyssek, Greta Laundy and Leah Grant - to talk art, inspiration, life in SA and the Frock Me Out pieces they keep reaching for.

This cardigan arrived just as I was packing for an overseas trip. I tried it on and immediately reconsidered my travelling outfit. It is an easy-wear garment that is an elegant extra layer.
It’s works just as well as outerwear as it does as a dressing gown. It’s warm without being too hot. It doesn’t seem to shed and pilling is minimal. A light brush with a pilling comb was all that was needed. Now that I’m home, I’m keen to style it with a belt and boots over a winter dress, as seen in the FMO photos.
I’m having to be very stern with myself not to buy the black one too.

Love this top its so comfortable, versatile and very groovy . It looks amazing paired with denim, or under an olive or burgundy pullover .
Dress it up or down but know you’ll ooze a certain type of 70’s cool when dawning this cool number .
I sized down for a snug fit , I’m usually a 10 in tops but I bought the Xs - glad I did I fits perfectly.
My favourite winter knit! The colour is gorgeous, I always get compliments when I wear this jumper. It’s cosy, warm and doesn’t swamp my smaller frame. It looks great with skirts, jeans, cords. I wish it came in more colours.

Have been looking for a sort sleeved denim shirt / jacket for some time and this one ticks all the boxes and more!! Sizing is great, denim is great quality and pairs with so much of my wardrobe. Highly recommend.
I thought the lurex might be a little scratchy and was prepared to put up with it for the sparkle factor. But it’s not at all, lovely knit, gorgeous colour. I liked it so much I bought the olive after recieiving the bronze!

Love the fabric, it stays cool in the heat and has a beautiful texture to it that just keeps getting better with wear.
I love the matching belt, and have been pairing it with my favourite tan belt and wedges.

So many compliments and fabulous colourways. Love the retro vintage look of many of FMO designs. Very comfortable material and length is perfect even for a gal of shorter stature 158.5cm!
